"Waste doesn"™t belong at home. Take it for a hike!" drew the attention of over 22,500 citizens

From February to July, WEEE collection actions all over the country offered more than 6 million citizens the opportunity to dispose of their old electrical and electronic equipment. Thus, within 222 actions unfolded by the end of July, we benefitted from the support and enthusiasm of more than 1,600 volunteers who took part in our collection campaign „Waste doesn’t belong at home. Take it for a hike!”.

Almost 680 tons WEEE were collected in 536 towns and villages that benefited from easy access to our WEEE collection actions.

“We thank for their openness and consistent support the local authorities who are more and more involved and interested in offering the citizens solutions for WEEE collection. These actions would not have been possible without the support of our volunteers who joined our campaign of awareness raising on the importance of recycling” declared Iuliana Niculescu, Project Manager.

The 222 collection actions developed so far within the campaign „Waste doesn’t belong at home. Take it for a hike!” benefitted from the support of local authorities and the following 11 partners: Albatros, Arctic, Candy, Carrefour, Electrolux, Gorenje, Philips, Platinium, Skil, Waldmessner and Whirpool.
